ABOUT ABSOLUTE SELF DEFENCE
Absolute Self Defence was created out of a strong passion, a shared vision and a ceaseless commitment to making martial arts learning easy and accessible in a safe, nurturing and welcoming environment.
Since 2018, we’ve had the opportunity to help countless students acquire self defence skills, develop safety awareness and improve health, fitness, well-being, confidence, balance and coordination. For younger students we focus on school preparation with emphasis on gross motor skills and core strength development, social skills and self-regulation/control. The benefits of training consistently helps obtain maximum benefits and build muscle memory of all techniques and skills for life.
We offer our classes all year around, at our full time Dojang in Mt Kuring-Gai, as part of our commitment to our students. We offer classes to children, teenagers and adults.
Absolute Self Defence focuses on teaching a martial art style also known as
the complete art of self defence - Kwan Nyom Hapkido.
We are a proud member of the International Hapkido Alliance (IHA) and Australian Hapkido group.
Our reputation grows each day as an excellent Martial Arts School in the Mount Kuring-Gai area and surrounds, Overall well-being of each individual student and members of our community is important to us.
We provide a wide range of age appropriate programs and events,
to support our students and to ensure their martial arts journey is memorable.

CLASSES & TIMETABLE
We offer seven main classes and programs at Absolute Self Defence.
RAPTORS: 3-5 year olds - development and school readiness program
HAWKS: 5-9 year olds - Introduction to self defence and physical development
FALCONS: 9-13 year olds - self defence, physical development, mindfulness, introduction to hapkido
TEENS: 13 and older
IHA EAGLES: 13+ and adults

HOLIDAY FUN DAYS AT ABSOLUTE SELF DEFENCE!
April Holidays Fast Approaching!
Are you wondering how to keep the kids busy during the school holidays?
Why not book them into a super fun day in which they will learn new skills, build self confidence and make a bunch of great new friends. At our program your kids will be busy all day, exercising and playing games, practicing social skills. Detoxing from devices, connecting with peers, and moving with meaningful activities and challenges do wonders for children's mental, emotional and physical well-being.
At the end of the day, they all go home tired but happy, with many fun memories made.
The holiday fun days are facilitated by Absolute Self Defence's Founder and Leader, Ma'am Gaye Terzioglu,
and her amazing team of Jidoja young leaders who have years of experience supporting younger students, making their journey fun with creative ideas! We have a large matted fully equipped space for active play and physical training, and 2 air conditioned rooms for quiet activities and quiet play!
New to hapkido? You do not have to be a member or have any hapkido skills to book into our Fun Days and feel welcome and comfortable. In fact, a Holiday Fun Day is the perfect opportunity to experience learning hapkido with us! Each day of the came we hold a self defence class and safety awareness interactive session.

Absolute Self Defence is a proud approved provider for the Active Kids program.
The NSW Government is helping kids get active with the Active Kids program.
The Active Kids program provides two $100 vouchers for parents, guardians and carers of school-enrolled children to use towards sport and active recreation costs each year.
Voucher 1 is valid January to December and
Voucher 2 is valid July to December.
The vouchers may be used with a registered activity provider for registration, participation and membership costs for sport, fitness and active recreation activities.
